Key Responsibilities
- Automotive Spray Painter
- Carry out automotive spray painting and vehicle refinishing
- Prepare panels and vehicles for professional paint application
- Complete colour matching, blending and refinishing work
- Achieve consistent, high-quality finishes
- Inspect completed work to maintain required quality standards
- Work efficiently while meeting production timeframes
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the refinishing process
- Keep the paintshop clean, organised and productive
- Follow workplace safety and quality procedures
- Work independently and contribute effectively to the wider workshop team
- Paintshop Prepper / Assistant
- Prepare vehicles, panels and surfaces for refinishing
- Complete sanding, masking and other preparation tasks
- Assist with priming and surface preparation
- Support Spray Painters with daily paintshop requirements
- Help maintain an efficient workflow through the workshop
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and organised
- Assist with general paintshop activities
- Develop practical knowledge of automotive refinishing
- Build technical skills through hands-on experience
- Work towards potential apprenticeship and career progression opportunities
Candidate Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant automotive spray painting experience for Spray Painter applicants
- Demonstrated colour-matching and refinishing ability
- Ability to produce professional-quality paint finishes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship
- Understanding of automotive preparation and refinishing processes
- Previous paint preparation experience is advantageous for Prepper / Assistant applicants
- Knowledge of sanding, masking and priming is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently within production deadlines
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, improve and take on greater responsibility
- Genuine and verifiable employment experience relevant to the position
