Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional ladies’ and children’s haircutting services
- Provide blow waves and a range of styling services
- Perform global colour and regrowth applications
- Complete foiling, highlighting and balayage services
- Carry out toning and colour correction work
- Provide hair treatments and smoothing services
- Consult with clients to understand their requirements and recommend suitable services
- Recommend appropriate professional haircare products
- Maintain consistent quality and attention to detail across all services
- Deliver a professional and personalised customer experience
- Work confidently and independently within the salon environment
- Support junior team members with practical guidance and mentoring
- Assist with demonstrations, workshops and training sessions when required
- Maintain professional salon, hygiene and workplace standards
Candidate Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised hairdressing qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher
- Minimum 2 years of professional hairdressing experience
- Demonstrated ability across cutting, colouring, foiling and styling
- Strong practical knowledge of modern hairdressing techniques
- Ability to work independently with confidence
- Excellent communication and client consultation skills
- Strong customer service approach
- Professional, reliable and well-presented
- Flexibility to work weekends when required
- Beauty therapy experience or qualifications will be advantageous
- Previous experience mentoring or training junior staff will be advantageous
- Willingness to provide details of services performed confidently
- Ability to identify any services requiring further training or development
- Must meet applicable New Zealand employment and visa requirements
