Job Description & Workplace Context
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the front-of-house team and coordinate daily restaurant operations
- Take ownership of service standards and operational consistency
- Train, mentor and develop hospitality team members
- Allocate responsibilities and provide direction during busy services
- Oversee restaurant opening and closing procedures
- Manage cash-up and daily financial handling processes
- Coordinate reservations, bookings and customer flow
- Maintain efficient service across multiple sittings
- Assist with staff rosters and workforce planning
- Work closely with senior management on operational requirements
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback
- Handle customer concerns professionally and effectively
- Build strong guest relationships and encourage repeat business
- Support strategies that improve restaurant revenue and performance
- Maintain a positive, accountable and professional team culture
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and licensing compliance
- Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions
- Maintain consistent standards throughout every service
Candidate Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Restaurant Management or a similar senior hospitality role
- Demonstrated experience managing front-of-house operations
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop hospitality staff
- Strong knowledge of fast-paced restaurant environments
- Confident and professional leadership approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
- Good understanding of restaurant procedures and service standards
- Knowledge of liquor service and relevant licensing requirements
- Ability to manage guest flow during high-volume service
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
- Professional approach to handling staff and customer matters
- Willingness to learn venue-specific products and procedures
- Availability for evening and weekend work
- Ability to commit to at least 30 hours per week across 5 days
- Genuine and verifiable employment history relevant to the position
- Ability to provide appropriate evidence of professional experience when required
