A reputable automotive workshop in South Australia is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic with proven European vehicle expertise to join its full-time team.
This opportunity is ideal for a qualified mechanic who enjoys technical diagnostics, complex repairs and working with high-quality European vehicles. You will play an important role in keeping customer vehicles performing safely and reliably, using modern diagnostic equipment and industry-standard repair methods.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across European vehicles
- Perform servicing and maintenance across a range of European vehicle systems
- Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems
- Diagnose electrical and electronic vehicle faults using computerised diagnostic equipment
- Operate automotive scan tools to identify fault codes and system issues
- Interpret wiring diagrams, technical information and manufacturer service procedures
- Inspect engines, transmissions and other components for wear, damage or failure
- Remove and replace defective or worn mechanical components
- Dismantle and reassemble engines and associated vehicle components
- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Perform oil and filter changes, lubrication and fluid replacement
- Carry out brake servicing, engine tune-ups and general mechanical repairs
- Test and adjust components after repairs to confirm correct operation
- Conduct road tests and post-repair inspections
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic, servicing and repair work
- Complete all work in accordance with workplace safety and quality standards
Candidate Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant automotive mechanical trade qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of professional Motor Mechanic experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with European vehicles
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems
- Experience using computerised diagnostic equipment and professional scan tools
- Ability to independently diagnose problems and carry out repairs
- Experience with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Volvo, Land Rover, Range Rover or similar European brands is highly regarded
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, fault codes and wiring diagrams
- Good English communication skills
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to work full-time in South Australia
