Key Responsibilities

• Deliver caring and responsive support to children throughout their daily routines
• Create engaging environments that encourage children's curiosity, confidence and independence
• Assist with educational activities designed around children's interests and developmental needs
• Support the implementation of programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
• Contribute to observations, assessments, planning and electronic learning portfolios
• Monitor and support children's learning, development, health and wellbeing
• Build strong and respectful relationships with children and their families
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians and other educators
• Work collaboratively with the wider early childhood team
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and professional centre environment
• Support children's transitions, routines and daily experiences
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic systems
• Follow child safety policies, workplace procedures and regulatory requirements
• Work in accordance with the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
• Participate in team meetings, training and professional development
• Contribute ideas that enhance children's learning experiences and the quality of care provided

Candidate Requirements & Eligibility

• Relevant trade qualification, diploma, or degree
• Minimum 2 years practical experience in the role
• Good English communication skills
• Eligibility for relevant license or registrationCurrently studying towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Passion for developing a rewarding long-term career in early childhood education
• Genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development
• Caring, patient and positive attitude
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively with children, families and fellow educators
• Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to contribute to the centre community
• Open-minded approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Understanding of EYLF principles and Australian early childhood practices
• Awareness of National Quality Standards and relevant regulatory requirements
• Computer literacy and ability to use electronic programming and portfolio systems
• Current Queensland Blue Card or ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete a National Police Check
• First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain these qualifications
• Overseas applicants must meet applicable qualification and ACECQA assessment requirements
• English language proficiency appropriate for the relevant visa pathway
• Ability to satisfy all applicable Australian visa and employer sponsorship requirements
