Key Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen and oversee daily food service operations
- Coordinate food preparation and manage kitchen workflow
- Prepare and cook quality meals to a consistently high standard
- Maintain excellent standards for steak preparation and cooking
- Support the development and improvement of existing menus
- Create new dinner and takeaway meal concepts
- Expand and refresh dine-in food selections
- Improve and modernise breakfast offerings
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, presentation and portion sizes
- Coordinate kitchen production during high-demand service periods
- Monitor stock requirements and manage ordering
- Maintain appropriate food storage and stock rotation
- Minimise food wastage and support cost-effective kitchen operations
- Supervise, guide and support kitchen team members
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Identify opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Work closely with management on menu and operational improvements
Candidate Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional experience as a Chef
- Experience in a busy, high-volume commercial kitchen
- Strong practical cooking and food preparation skills
- Demonstrated steak cooking experience
- Ability to take ownership of kitchen operations
- Experience with menu planning, development or improvement
- Strong leadership and staff coordination capabilities
- Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
- High standards of food quality and consistency
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently when required
- Willingness to work a rotating roster
- Willingness and ability to live on-site
- Commitment to food safety and workplace hygiene
- Relevant culinary qualification and/or substantial industry experience
