Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook European and modern Australian dishes to a high standard
- Take responsibility for an assigned section of the kitchen
- Complete mise en place and daily preparation requirements
- Deliver consistently high-quality and well-presented dishes
- Maintain appropriate portion sizes and minimise food wastage
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team throughout service
- Maintain efficient workflow during busy dining periods
- Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen operating procedures
- Monitor ingredients and use stock responsibly
- Assist with general kitchen operations and preparation as required
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional work area
- Work across scheduled evening, weekend and split shifts
- Demonstrate dependable hands-on culinary performance
Candidate Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
- Recognised trade qualification in Commercial Cookery
- At least 2 years of relevant professional kitchen experience
- Experience preparing European or modern Australian cuisine
- Fine-dining or quality-focused restaurant experience
- Chef de Partie or equivalent section experience is advantageous
- Strong practical cooking and food preparation skills
- Ability to work confidently within a professional kitchen team
- Ability to maintain quality while managing food costs and wastage
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Availability for evening, weekend and split-shift work
- Genuine and verifiable qualifications and employment history
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their claimed culinary skills and experience are authentic
